Little Shredders

Fundamentals that actually stick.

⭐ Our #1 recommended program for most families. If you're not sure where to start — start here.

The sweet spot. Old enough to absorb real technique, young enough to have no fear, and in a group small enough that every instructor knows every child by name.

Six sessions in, most kids can link turns, stop on command, and are excited to hit a real mountain. That's not luck — it's the curriculum.

"My teenager was 'too cool' for ski lessons but agreed to try Shredder once. Now he goes voluntarily every week and has gotten better in 8 sessions than he did in 4 years of occasional mountain trips. The instructors actually speak his language."

How enrollment works
Class sessions are sold as 5–10 week blocks. Prorate and join mid-session if spots are available — contact your location.
Installment payment plans may be available for 10-week Peak Season sessions (Fall + Winter).
Missed a class? There aren't make-up classes, but your facility can issue a one-time coupon code — worth an Open Gym, usable toward any program — good through the end of the session. Just contact your location.
Refund + credit options vary by program, timing, and enrollment type — see summary below.
Choosing the right program

Parent Questions.

The questions parents actually ask before booking — answered straight, no fluff.

What's the difference between group classes and private lessons? +
Group classes (small groups) are how most kids progress fastest. They get peer modeling, structured breaks, and social momentum. Private lessons are one-on-one with a certified instructor — best for trip prep, breakthrough sessions, or kids who need a private environment. Most families start with group classes and add privates as needed.
How many sessions until my child is mountain ready? +
On average, about six. Some kids get there in four. A few take ten. The structured progression is what makes the timeline predictable — without it, there's no way to answer the question. We track every kid's skills so you always know where they are on the path.
Can my child switch programs if they outgrow one? +
Yes. Kids move from Yeti School to Little Shredders, then from Little Shredders to Ski & Board School, when they're ready — not just because of a birthday. Your local instructors will tell you when it's time.
Can I try one class before committing to a full session? +
Yes — you're never locked in. Most families book a full session because that's how real progression works, but plans change and we get it. Shredder offers flexible refund and credit options that vary by program and timing — see the full refund and credit policy, or ask your local facility.
What if my child has never skied or snowboarded before? +
That's our specialty. Most kids who start at Shredder have zero experience. Every program is designed to start at zero, build confidence, and progress through measurable skills. First-timers often progress faster indoors than they would on a mountain because the environment is controlled and the instruction is consistent week to week.
