Opening October 2026 — hopefully sooner · Northwest Houston, TX

Shredder is a year-round indoor ski & snowboard progression center for kids ages 1–10, plus one-on-one privates at any age. We're building one in Northwest Houston — and the families on our list get first pick.

★ the opening date before we announce it publicly

A smarter place to start than the mountain

Most kids' first day on snow is cold, crowded, and four hours from home. We built the opposite: indoor, 65–70°F, small groups, the same coach every week.

Every week, not once a year

Skills build instead of resetting each winter. Progress compounds.

Small groups

Closer to a semi-private than a lesson line. Your kid actually gets coached.

All gear included

Skis, boots, helmet, board. Nothing to buy before you know they love it.

Warm, indoors, year-round

No cold, no altitude, no bad-weather days. Ever.

Why Shredder?

At first, we expected most of the demand to come from kids, but we quickly learned that teens and adults wanted the same opportunity to learn, practice, and feel more comfortable before a ski trip.

Where the mountain comes in

I grew up skiing in Vermont and worked at Killington during high school. I started out skiing, switched to snowboarding in my teens, and have stayed connected to the mountains ever since. I wanted to bring that experience to Texas and make skiing and snowboarding more accessible to families here.

Why Houston?

Houston felt like a natural next market because there are so many families and individuals here who ski, but very few local options to actually prepare before they travel. That made us feel like Shredder could fill a real need in Houston.

Questions before we open

When does Northwest Houston open?

Opening October 2026 — hopefully sooner. Construction timelines can shift — the waitlist hears about any change first, before anything is announced publicly.

What ages do you take?

Our group programs run ages 1–10, and private lessons are open to any age. Yeti School starts as young as 1 with a parent on snow alongside them; Little Shredders runs 3–5; Ski School and Snowboard School run 5–10.

Does my child need gear or experience?

Neither. All gear is included — skis, board, boots, and helmet. Most kids who walk in have never been on snow.

What does joining the waitlist actually get me?

First pick of session times before enrollment opens publicly, plus the opening date before we announce it publicly. Opening sessions fill fastest, and the list is how we fill them.

How much does it cost?

Northwest Houston pricing is set closer to opening and goes to the waitlist first. Every session includes gear and coaching — there are no equipment add-ons.

Be first on the list in Northwest Houston

Opening sessions are limited by how many kids we can coach well at once. The waitlist gets first pick — and once your child starts, if their first session doesn't click, we'll make it right.
