Insider access to lodging, gear, and the resorts that get a Shredder kid first.
We build the skills. You capture the memories.
We Didn't Find You
a Good Rental.
We built one. Designed around how ski families actually work — kids and parents on separate floors, hot tub, walkable to downtown, six minutes to the lifts.
Two floors built around how families actually ski. Kids get the bunk room, arcade, and hot tub downstairs. Parents get the kitchen, deck, and mountain views upstairs. Winter Park and Mary Jane right out the door.
"Shred Haus is perfect. Walkable to town — directly next to the best pizza joint in Winter Park. Six minute drive to the resort. Kids have their own dedicated space downstairs: bunk room, arcade, and hot tub. Adults get the upstairs by the kitchen and deck overlooking the pond and mountains. Sleeps 12. Highly recommend."
The World Your Kid
Just Unlocked.
We've done the research and negotiated access you can't find anywhere else. Here's where to take a Shredder kid first.
Don't Waste Money
on the Wrong Stuff.
We've watched thousands of families show up at the mountain — here's exactly what you need, what you don't, and where to get it for a fraction of the resort price.
RENT THE GEAR
they already know.
Your kid spent weeks in Shredder boots, on Shredder skis. They know how it feels. Take that confidence to the mountain — rent the same gear they trained on.
Why rent from Shredder? Your child already trained in this gear. Same boots they learned to stop in. Same skis they linked their first turns on. No re-fitting. No break-in period. No "these feel weird" on the chairlift. Available at select locations — check yours.
THE WHOLE TRIP.
handled.
Lodging, lift tickets, gear rentals, and mountain guidance — bundled and pre-negotiated for Shredder families.
Don't Learn These
the Hard Way.
Reserve gear before mountain morning
Morning rental lines can eat the best part of your day. Local shops in the resort town usually have shorter waits and better pricing than the on-mountain counter — and if you must rent at the resort, pick up the night before.
Start hydrating before you leave home
Altitude hits harder when you arrive dehydrated. Start drinking extra water 3–4 days before the trip, not just when you get there.
Always start with a warm-up run
No matter how good your child is, start on something easy. A green run lets them find their legs, remember the basics, and build confidence before moving up.
Bathroom before boots — every time
Once ski boots are on, bathroom breaks become a production. Make it a non-negotiable pre-ski ritual before you leave the condo, hotel, or lodge.
End while everyone is still happy
One great final run beats three extra runs past exhaustion. The best ski days end with kids wanting more, not melting down on the mountain.
"Our 4 year old took weekly sessions for 10 weeks prior to our annual ski trip. Once we got there he was more comfortable in all the gear, boots and clipping and unclipping from skis. He picked up skiing down the mountain great!"
"She is normally a pretty timid girl and when we took her to Mt. Brighton for the first time she was so excited and confident. Even asked to go on the chair lift right away!"
The fun has only just begun.
