Properly fitted for each child

A good mountain day starts with equipment that fits correctly. Boots that are too big turn into no control and cold feet; too small and the day ends early. Neither is a fun way to learn.

Shredder rental gear is selected for young skiers and riders, and fitted by the same team that coaches them — before your family reaches the resort.

Renting at Shredder Central Park

Do we have to be enrolled at Shredder to rent?▾
No. Rentals are open to any family — Shredder training isn't a requirement. That said, kids who train with us are already used to the fit, which is most of the reason this works so well.
Which locations rent gear?▾
Right now: Central Park, Littleton and Wheat Ridge. Each one has its own rental page and booking. Other Shredder locations include all gear with training sessions but don’t yet offer take-home rentals.
Wait — isn't gear already included in our sessions?▾
Yes, and that hasn't changed. Every Shredder session includes skis or a snowboard, boots, and a helmet at no extra cost, used at our facility. Gear rentals are a separate service: equipment your family takes to the mountain for a trip or a whole season.
What ages and sizes do you carry?▾
Our rental fleet is built for young skiers and riders, roughly ages 1 through 12. Exact sizes on hand vary by location and by how far into the season you are — submit a request and your location will confirm what fits your child before you commit.
Are helmets included?▾
No — a helmet is not part of any rental package. We stock youth helmets for purchase and will size your child for one at the fitting. (Helmets are provided at no cost for training sessions at our facility.)
Can we rent for just one trip?▾
That's exactly what the Trip-Ready package is for — a weekend or a single mountain trip rather than the whole season. Pick it up before you leave and return it when you're back.
How early should we reserve?▾
As early as you can. Rental inventory is finite, and the popular sizes go first — especially over holiday weeks and spring break. Season packages are best reserved before the season starts.
What if the boots don't feel right, or my child grows?▾
Bring them back in. Fit problems and mid-season growth are normal for kids, and your location will work through exchange options with you — specifics depend on what's in stock at the time, so ask when you pick up.
