Arrive about 10 minutes early. Kids wear athletic clothes and socks — no snow gear needed. We'll have their skis or snowboard, boots, and helmet ready based on their fit notes.

Kids train on our indoor slopes in a warm, controlled environment. No lift lines. No cold weather. No mountain-day chaos. Just focused reps on the next skill in their progression — stopping, turning, edging, linking turns, or building confidence.

Families Driving In From
Across Central Oregon

Shredder Bend is the only indoor ski and snowboard school in Central Oregon — minutes from Mt. Bachelor, training year-round so families arrive at the mountain ready.

Bend

Bend families train year-round at Shredder before Mt. Bachelor weekends. The kids who train indoors all summer are the ones leading the family down the mountain in December.

Redmond

Redmond families training before Mt. Bachelor or Hoodoo trips make the 20-minute drive south to Shredder Bend. The closest indoor ski school to Deschutes County.

Sisters

Sisters families training kids before mountain weekends are 25 minutes west of Shredder Bend via Highway 20.

Sunriver

Sunriver families training kids year-round are 15 minutes south of Shredder Bend via Highway 97.

La Pine

La Pine families training before Mt. Bachelor trips are 30 minutes south of Shredder Bend on Highway 97.

My child has never skied or snowboarded. Is that okay? ▾
Absolutely — that's our specialty. Most of our students come in with zero experience. Our programs are specifically designed for first-timers, and our instructors are trained to make that first experience fun and confidence-building.
What should my child wear? ▾
No snow gear needed — our facility is climate-controlled at 65–70°F year-round. Athletic clothes work perfectly. You're welcome to bring your own helmet if you have one.
Is gear included? ▾
Yes — all ski and snowboard gear (skis/snowboard, boots, poles, helmet) is included and professionally fitted at every session. There's nothing extra to buy or bring.
What's Shredder's refund and credit policy? ▾
Refund and credit options vary by program, timing, and enrollment type. For full-session classes: refunds may be available before the 3rd scheduled class; Shredder credits may be available for remaining classes after. Camps & Parent's Night Out: refunds or credits depend on advance-cancellation timing. Private lesson deposits follow the same advance-timing structure. Do you offer private lessons before a ski trip? ▾
Yes — this is one of the most popular ways to use private lessons. Many Bend families book a session or series of private lessons before heading to Mt. Bachelor or Hood Meadows. Even 2–3 sessions can make a dramatic difference in confidence on the mountain.
What if my child misses a session? ▾
We don't run make-up classes, but for an excused absence your facility can issue a one-time coupon code worth the value of an Open Gym — usable toward any program and valid through the end of the session. Contact us at bend@shredderski.com or (541) 275-0805.

Yes — free parking in the business park lot on SE 9th St. Look for the Shredder Ski sign at Unit 130. Plan to arrive about 10 minutes early for your first session so we can get gear fitted.
How do I add participant information after booking? ▾
You'll be prompted to add participant details (age, experience, ski or snowboard preference, shoe size) at checkout. This is required before your first session — if we don't receive it in time, we may not be able to accommodate your session. Email us at bend@shredderski.com if you need help.
