Shredder Ski School, the premier indoor ski and snowboard training facility, is thrilled to announce the opening of its newest location in Dallas, Texas. Robert Lacey, a native of Vermont and an avid skier since the age of six, is the driving force behind this ambitious venture. Having worked at the renowned Killington ski resort during his high school years, he understands the transformative power of introducing children to these exhilarating outdoor activities. “I’m thrilled to launch a Shredder in Dallas, providing kids of diverse backgrounds the opportunity to experience skiing and snowboarding,” he said with enthusiasm.
Joining Robert in this endeavor is his wife Candice, whose journey to snowboarding took an unconventional path. Growing up in Houston, her family’s aversion to cold weather meant she had her first encounter with a snowboard in her thirties after moving to Denver for work. “I immediately fell in love with snowboarding (despite being black and blue all over after my first mountain lessons),” she recalls fondly. Candice’s goal is to make skiing and snowboarding more accessible to all, regardless of their geographical location or cultural background.

Robert and Candice were drawn to Shredder for its ability to introduce kids to skiing and snowboarding, even those who may never have the opportunity to visit a ski resort. “We loved the idea of being able to teach kids to ski in a controlled environment,” Robert explains.
